Welcome to Nstock. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our application (the "Service"), and applies together with our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you register, we collect information such as your name, email address, and company name.
- Company Data: All data you enter into the application, including but not limited to inventory levels, master products, bills of materials, production data, orders, and supplier information, is stored securely on your behalf.
- Integration Data: If you connect a third-party service, we access only the data necessary for that integration to function, and only after you explicitly authorize the connection:
- Shopify / WooCommerce: order details (customer name, email, line items, fulfillment status) for the purpose of automatic inventory synchronization.
- QuickBooks Online: your Chart of Accounts (account names and IDs, so you can map them within Nstock), and — only if you separately enable each sync setting — the ability to create journal entries and invoices in your QuickBooks company. Nstock does not access, process, or move funds through QuickBooks Payments, and does not read transaction history or bank-feed data beyond what's needed to display your Chart of Accounts.
- Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Nstock does not store your full credit card number; Stripe handles that data under its own privacy policy and security standards.
- Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with our service — such as pages visited and features used — to improve the application.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain our services.
- To improve, personalize, and expand our services.
- To understand and analyze how you use our service.
- To communicate with you, including for customer service and to provide you with updates.
- To process your transactions and manage your subscription to Nstock.
- To find and prevent fraud or abuse of the Service.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Service Providers
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information or Company Data for their own marketing purposes. All your Company Data is segregated by company account and accessible only to users you authorize. We do share data with the following categories of service providers, solely as necessary to operate the Service:
- Google Cloud Platform / Firebase: hosting, authentication, and database infrastructure.
- Stripe: subscription billing and payment processing.
- Shopify, WooCommerce, and QuickBooks Online (Intuit): only for companies that explicitly connect one of these integrations, and only for the data described in Section 1.
- Cloudinary: image hosting for product/label images you choose to upload.
- Email delivery providers (Mailerlite, Resend): transactional email, purchase order/quote delivery, and account notifications.
Each of these providers is contractually and/or technically limited to using data solely to provide their service to us, and each maintains its own security and privacy practices.
4. Data Security
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information and Company Data. Our data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (Firebase), which employs industry-standard security measures, including encryption of data in transit and at rest. Third-party access tokens (such as your QuickBooks Online or Shopify connection credentials) are stored server-side and are never exposed to your browser or to other companies' accounts.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect a third-party integration (Shopify, WooCommerce, or QuickBooks Online), we delete the associated access credentials immediately; data already synced into Nstock prior to disconnection (such as historical orders) is retained as part of your Company Data unless you separately delete it. If you close your account, your data is removed from our active systems in accordance with our data deletion procedures, subject to any backup retention or legal requirements.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings or by contacting us directly. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law (such as the GDPR or CCPA), including the right to request a copy of your data, request correction or deletion, or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date above.
